Taylor Charles is a singer-songwriter from Guthrie, Oklahoma. He combines traditional styles from classic country, delta blues, and mountain folk music to create a distinct and timeless sound.

Taylor has been blessed with the opportunity to live in China, North Carolina, Texas, and California, picking up pieces of musical perspective along the way.

Taylor's musical inspirations include traditional bluesmen such as Mississippi John Hurt and Reverend Gary Davis, folk and bluegrass guitarists including Merle Travis and Doc Watson, and country singers ranging from Ernest Tubb to Waylon Jennings and George Strait.

Taylor's solo performances offer a unique experience, combining rhythm-driven guitar arrangements in the one-man-band styles of Jerry Reed and Merle Travis with haunting vocals comparable to Johnny Cash and George Jones.

Recently relocated to North Texas, Taylor has played in restaurants, wineries, and bars throughout Northern and Southern California, as well as events such as the 2022 Redwood Mountain Fair, BarrelHouse Brewery 2022 Country Wild Event, songwriter showcases, and Central Coast artist spotlights.

Taylors background includes a degree in astrophysics and nearly a decade of operations management experience. He applies the core concepts of continuous improvement and lifelong education to his musical craft. As a result, no two experiences are the same.
